Ed and Judy Derrick have owned Medicine Shoppe pharmacies for over 15 years now and assisted thousands of customers with their needs. Ed’s wife Judy is a pharmacist and they both have always had a passion for independent pharmacy and helping people. Today you will find Judy working at the Mercer Medicine Shoppe many days as well as occasionally at the Bloomsburg, Pa. pharmacy.

 

Mercer Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy

We moved the Mercer store to it’s current location in 2007 which allowed us to update from what was originally a 30 year old pharmacy when we purchased it, into an ultra-modern pharmacy which boasts Mercer’s only Drive Thru for pharmacy! This propelled the growth of our business and allowed us to help many more Mercer families. We offer many services not found in the chain pharmacies.

 

Bloomsburg Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy

In 2012, we were approached by Medicine Shoppe to consider purchasing another pharmacy and continuing on our business expansion. The Bloomsburg Medicine Shoppe was a great fit as it was a long established, family-owned Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy that had a great staff and could continue on helping their community. We added this store to our “family” and it has been a great fit for both.

 

Canandaigua Medicine Shoppe & The Animal Pharmacy

Then in 2013, we joined in partnership with 3 other Medicine Shoppe owners and added the Canandaigua, Ny Medicine Shoppe and The Animal Pharmacy. Who would have known how many pet owners need our help to assist their “Furry Family Members”! Again, this fit with our vision of Independent Pharmacy and helping people with their medical needs now including their pets.

Visit any of our pharmacies and you will find Local Home Delivery, DME sections, Unit-Dose Medication Packaging as well as quick, courteous service by people who care about you and your health.
